Jin Griffin
Makeup Tutor

Hi, my Name is Jinna and i have recently joined the team at BHB as their new Makeup Artist tutor.

I found a passion for makeup through my creativity, being able to draw from anything and everything that’s happening around me and express it in an artistic way. From fully glamming a model and seeing them gain confidence to creating edgy statement pieces to special effects makeup.

The best part of my job is being able to do what i love each day and helping the learners to enhance and express their own creativity.

P.s my favorite color is lime Green and i love Jack Daniels 🙂

Trina Howard
Youth Tutor

Hi, my name is Trina, and I mainly look after the Level 2 NCEA learners, and then start them on the Level 3 foundation course for Hairdressing.

I have been hairdressing for 27 years, this is my passion!  I started with The Hairdressing College; now BHB, 7 years ago.  Since then I have completed my Certificate in Adult Teaching, and Literacy and Numeracy.  This has enabled me to further help and support our learners through their journey with us.  The best part of my job is seeing learners start with passion and not much skill, to 6 months later being fairly confident and skilled in all aspects of hairdressing.  It is amazing watching them grow and turn into passionate hairdressers, fit for the industry, and knowing I helped get them there.  Inspiring the next generation of hairdressers is inspiring for me.
