BHB Academy operates a working hairdressing salon, barbershop, and beauty salon in the heart of Palmerston North. From precision fades to skincare and makeup artistry, our students are trained and ready to deliver.
As this is a training space, we look for ‘BHB-friendly’ clients, people who are kind, patient, and love supporting new talent. Our highly trained tutors oversee every step to ensure technical excellence, but please allow extra time for your appointment.
Our menu is 100% gender-neutral. We price by length of hair and product used, not by gender. All listed prices are estimates; come in for a chat and a consultation, and we’ll give you a firm price before we pick up the tools.
Note: Due to the length of time taken and the possible inability to sit still for long periods of time we are not always able to cater to clients under the age of 8 years.
We love a transformation, but your health must come first.
If you’re booking an on-scalp colour, pop into the academy 48 hours prior for a quick patch test. Our stylists will need to see the result before we pick up the brush. If we’re unable to confirm the test, we’ll have to reschedule your colour.
This is all about best practice and ensuring you leave the chair feeling (and looking) amazing.
